Know About Scheduled Run Functionality of DTW

DTW introduce a new feature called as Scheduled Run. In this feature one can do following works done with more ease:
1. One can easily get DTW.exe by the command line.
2. SAP user can assemble the parameters of DTW by the wizard in normal form and save that assembled file in XML (extended Markup Language) format to perform schedule run.
And the required command for it is: "DTW -s[config file path]config file name".
3. Remember that before doing execution of schedule Run one should sign in at SAP Business One.
4. Now at step 5 in the DTW wizard one can prefer SAVE to store assembled file in XML format.
5. And at last take command DTW-s D:schedule_run.xml from command line to execute.

Simple Yet Helpful Commands for itab (Internal Table) in SAP



There is no doubt that understanding SAP is not easy, but with the help of some commands, you can perform several tasks easily if you have an internal table ‘itab’. Want to know what and how! Keep reading… 

Clear Commands
  • CLEAR <itab>.
    • This will clear the entire contents, if <itab> is not having header line.
  • CLEAR <itab>.
    • This statement will clear the contents of header line, if <itab> is having the header line.
  • CLEAR <itab>[]
    • This will clear the body contents (excluding header line), if <itab> has header line.
  • CLEAR itab[].
    • It is kind of opposite command of the CLEAR. The content of the table is released, and the header line is not.
  • CLEAR itab.
    • This command clears the header of a table, but keeps its content. The initial memory allocated for the table remains reserved.
  
Refresh Commands
  • REFRESH <itab>.
    • This will cause the body content to be cleared, but memory allotted to the table will remain as it is.
  • FREE itab.
    • Initializes the internal table and releases its entire memory space, including the initial memory requirement. So using free de-allocates memory.

SAP is center of attraction for all SAP users.  And everyone is keen to know that what is coming new for SAP. SAP is intelligent business software that means to solve all diverse challenges. Focusing this aspect SAP is coming with whole pricing model to Cloud in the first quarter and refines their complete DNA in 2014. Here are the themes which SAP is going to add in 2014:

Providing Priority to SAP Cloud
SAP has made a clear announcement that SAP is a “Cloud First” company. Although, SAP is getting their revenue from SAP’s evaluation of success factors of HR (Human Resource) and other lined up businesses. Now, in growing cloud is not an easy task. So, SAP needs to either continue selling more or to start to acquire their way to growth.  

Customer Focused Selling
SAP is working on customer focused selling by industry and line of business for several years. And, SAP lost lot of great minds in form of people who created complex software like MRP. But, apart from it SAP people got promoted towards CIO to Chief Data Officers and Chief Marketing Officers. In essence, SAP upgraded at upper levels to the line business leads and front office.

Consumer App

However, they generate smaller revenue but SAP is acquisition with them because they can set relevancy to SAP in industries, analytics and automation.  If SAP will achieve it then they will surely rock in Financial Services, Healthcare and Oil and Gas and will able to attain huge revenue growth as many of them are on full bloom of dislocation.

Mobile is No More
SAP is just focusing over to sell apps and providing runtime license. SAP is not taking care for Mobile platform. Anyhow they want to sell apps and trying to make app accessible to all devices. Mobile platform is most important but SAP wants to pay attention to all devices.

Announcement of R/4
Announcement of R/4 software is breaking news for SAP Business Suite and users. As assumed, SAP R/4 will be a SAP HANA based application which will be 20times simpler and smaller than R/3. It will help to integrate all operation more immediate and quickly. May it will result as the renewal of SAP’s Core Business.
